The Ministry of Health has intensified surveillance at all entry points in the Country to ensure early detection of the Mpox disease and to prevent any further spreading. The announcement came a day after the first case of locally transmitted Mpox disease was reported in the Country. The Public Health Principal Secretary Mary Muthoni has maintained that the number of confirmed cases still currently stands at five with two of the patients already recovered and discharged from the hospital.
