President William Ruto transferred management of Amboseli National Park to Kajiado County Government during the Maa Cultural and Tourism Festival at Kimana Gate. The agreement, signed on October 14 and gazetted on October 24, starts a three-year phased transition from the Kenya Wildlife Service, with full county control by 2028 and initial 50% revenue sharing to support Maasai community empowerment.
