Promoting maternal health : Mother and child unit has been launched in Kuserwo Elgeyo Marakwet

Gravid mothers in Moiben, Kuserwo ward in Elgeyo Marakwet County will now have access to improved maternal health that will provide a safe and nurturing environment courtesy of the newly launched mother and baby unit. Speaking during the official opening of the unit in Chebiemit Sub County hospital, area residents hailed the initiative citing that they will no longer need to travel for longer distances to access maternity services. The facility was constructed by the County government in partnership with the Finish Ministry of Foreign Affairs
