E Researchers and bird watchers have embarked on a national census to determine the number of grey crowned cranes which they say is endangered and on the verge of extinction. They claim the numbers have been dwindling at an alarming rate and that poaching is making it worse even as they called for a multi stakeholder approach towards mitigations. The exercise kicked off near Lake Ol-Bolosat in Nyandarua County.
