Sabina Chege weighs in on Gachagua’s eligibility

Former Murang’a Woman Representative Sabina Chege has said that former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua may still be eligible to contest the 2027 presidential election despite his impeachment in 2024. Speaking in a TV interview on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, Chege noted that Gachagua had not exhausted all avenues of appeal and could still find a legal path back.
