Serikali yashauriwa kuwawezesha vijana kumiliki ardhi ili waweze kujiajiri
Baadhi ya vijana wanaojihusisha na kilimo cha Kahawa nchini Tanzania wanasema bado wanakabiliwa na changamoto ya ukosefu wa ardhi ya kulima jambo linalowakwamisha kushiriki kikamilifu katika sekta ya kahawa
wameyasema hayo katika mkutano wa tatu uliowakutanishi viongozi wan chi 25 wanaozalisha zao hilo barani Afrika kama anavyosema Peter Mzeya kijana Mkulima.
“Tungependa vijana wengi waingie kwenye uzalishaji wa kahawa, ingawa kuna changamoto kadhaa ambazo zinaweza kuwa juu ya uwezo wao. Serikali inapaswa kuziangalia, maana kabla hujaingia katika uzalishaji wa kahawa ni lazima umiliki ardhi. Hivyo, serikali iangalie ni jinsi gani vijana wanaweza kumiliki ardhi” amesema Mzeya
Mbali na changamoto ya ardhi vijana pia wanakabiliwa na vikwazo vya sera kanuni na mfumo wa fedha hali inayozuia ushiriki wao kikamilifu katika kuongeza thamani ya zao la kahawa.
Mkulima Mzeya alishiriki katika mkutano wa tatu uliowakutanishi viongozi wa nchi 25 wanaozalisha zao hilo barani Afrika kuanzia tarehe 21-22, Februari, katika Ukumbi wa Mikutano wa Mwalimu Nyerere mjini Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. Mkutano huu umeandaliwa na serikali ya Tanzania.
