Police officers have shot dead one of three suspected criminals who were on a mission to commit robbery in Ogembo town, Gucha Sub-county, Kisii County. However, two other suspects managed to escape with gunshot wounds. According to the Kisii County police commander Charles Kases, a team of detectives from Nairobi with the help of police officers trailed the gangsters from Kisii town and caught up with them at a bridge in Kuja river, Ogembo town where a shootout ensued, and one of the suspects was killed as his colleagues fled. Kases appealed to the general public for information on the whereabouts of the two suspects at large.
