The standoff between the university academic staff union (UASU) and the university of Nairobi management continues to escalate. According to UASU, despite a court ruling reinstating university council chairman, Amukowa Anangwe, there has been no significant progress. Instead, tensions have continued to escalate, with Anangwe facing growing resistance from some quarters who say they have been threatened. they have further accused the council of improperly posting deans without elections and allowing students to transfer to courses they are not qualified to pursue.
