The County Government of Kiambu has started the construction of Cabro access roads and 40 solar floodlights in Umoja Informal Settlement located within Thika municipality, that is part of the Second Kenya Informal Settlement improvement project ((KISIP 2) interventions to uplift living conditions. The new Cabro roads will also feature 36 solar streetlights, efficient drainage systems and pedestrian walkways. This project will enhance safety during dark hours and extend business working hours thus boosting local economic activities.
