Democratic Action Party (DAP-K) leader Eugene Wamalwa has urged President William Ruto’s administration to focus on fulfilling its unkept promises instead of turning the government into an "advertising agency." Speaking at a funeral in Webuye yesterday, Wamalwa echoed Nyeri Archbishop Anthony Muheria’s sentiments, criticizing the government for prioritizing publicity over action. He accused the state of investing heavily in promoting its projects rather than implementing them. Additionally, the former defence cabinet secretary called on the IEBC selection panel to expedite the formation of a new electoral body to oversee upcoming by-elections at the ward and constituency levels.
