Waokoaji: 'Jeshi la Israeli laacha miili mingi mjini Gaza City'
Waokoaji walisema majeshi ya Israeli yameacha darzeni za miili walipoondoka maeneo mbalimbali ya Gaza City usiku baada ya mashambulizi makali yaliyodumu kwa wiki nzima ambayo yalikabiliwa na wapiganaji wa Hamas wakikabiliana nao. Waokoaji walisema wameikusanya kiasi ya miili 60 hadi sasa.,
Jeshi hilo lilitoa kanda ya video Jumatano (Julai 10) ikionyesha kile walichosema ni majeshi ya ardhini yakifanya operesheni Gaza wakati mashauriano ya kusitisha mapigano katika vita vilivyodumu kwa miezi tisa yamepangwa kuanza tena.
Jeshi la Israeli lilisema katika taarifa yake kuwa majeshi yake yalikuwa yanaendelea na operesheni huko Gaza City dhidi ya wanamgambo wa Hamas na washirika wao Islamic Jihad, ambao walisema walikuwa wanafanya mashambulizi kutoka katika kituo cha UNRWA, wakikitumia kama ni ngome yao ya kufanya mashambulizi.
Kulingana na jeshi la Israeli walikuwa wamefanyia operesheni zao katikati mwa Gaza na Shejaiya.
Shirika la habari la Reuters halikuweza kuthibitisha eneo linaloonyeshwa katika kanda ya video. Reuters imeshindwa kupata uthibitisho huru wa tarehe ambayo video hiyo ilichukuliwa.
Vita hiyo ilianza Oktoba 7 wakati wapiganaji kutoka Palestina wa kikundi cha wanamgambo wa Hamas walipovamia mpakani na kushambulia jamii mbalimbali huko Israel, ikiuwa watu 1,200 na kuwateka watu 250, kulingana na idadi iliyotolewa na Israeli.
Shambulizi la Israeli huko Gaza kulipiza kisasi lilianza siku hiyo hiyo kwa kushambulia kwa mabomu na limeendelea kwa miezi tisa pamoja na uvamizi wa ardhini ambapo mamlaka za afya Palestina zinasema imeuwa zaidi ya watu 38,000 na kujeruhi zaidi ya watu 80,000.
Idadi kubwa ya waliojeruhiwa kutokana na vita hivyo imeongeza magonjwa kusambaa na utapiamlo kati ya wakazi asilimia 90 wa Gaza ambapo Umoja wa Mataifa unasema wamekoseshwa makazi, na kuweka shinikizo kubwa kwa mifumo ya afya katika eneo hilo finyu. - Reuters
