The Kenya Medical Research Institute has been designated as the collaborative center for the international agency for research on cancer to support capacity building for cancer registries in Sub-Saharan Africa. Speaking during the official inauguration in Nairobi, KEMRI Senior Research Scientist Dr Anne Korir said the development is a major milestone in dealing with the surge of cancer and other non-communicable diseases in the country.
