Wazee wa msitu wa Kaya Tiwi na wenyeji wa eneo hilo wameanzisha zoezi la upanzi wa miti ya kiasili kwenye msitu huo ili kurejesha hadhi yake ya zamani. Wazee hao wamepanda zaidi ya miti 2,500 kwenye awamu ya kwanza kwenye msitu huo ulioharibiwa na ukataji miti kiholela na watu wanaodaiwa kuwa na nia ya kunyakuwa ardhi hiyo.Wanasema watapanda zaidi ya miti 10,000 wakilenga kurejelea shughuli zao za kitamaduni kama hapo awali. Aidha wameisisitizia serikali kuendelea kukabiliana na wanyakuzi wa ardhi za umma na misitu ya Kaya.
