Liver experts say that undiagnosed hepatitis remains one of the leading causes of liver disease often progressing to severe conditions such as liver cancer. With shortage of specialized personnel and lack of advanced facilities for liver transplant in the country, access to proper medical interventions is minimal with most patients forced to seek treatment abroad which is often very expensive.
