Police: CCTV footage captured Jirongo’s final moments before the crash

The Directorate of Criminal Investigations says CCTV footage has captured the final seconds before former minister Cyrus Jirongo died in a head-on collision along the Nakuru–Nairobi Highway, placing the impact at twenty-five seconds past two o’clock in the morning. In a statement, the Directorate of Criminal Investigations now confirm the crash involved a public service bus, whose driver has been questioned and released on cash bail, as homicide detectives and forensic experts piece together a detailed trail of his movements, including where he had been earlier that night ahead of forwarding a file to the Director of Public Prosecutions.
