Three feared dead after boat capsized during a sporting event in Mombasa

Three people are feared dead after a boat capsized at Tudor in Mombasa county during a water sport event on Friday evening During the incident 19 people were rescued while the trio remain unaccounted for amid a heightened search. A multi-agency team combed the Indian ocean waters for the better part of Saturday with little success as the families of those missing cling to hopes that their kin will be found alive. Mombasa county governor Abdulswamad Nassir has called for patience as the rescue teams led by the Kenya Navy continue with the search. This comes as human rights organisations have called for the arrest of the event organisers faulting them for allegedly failing to provide adequate safety gears.
