Rembo Classic, a public transport provider plying Kajiado and Nairobi has acquired 24 new electric buses. With one bus costing 8 million shillings, the Sacco boasts of 30 electric buses so far. The deal made in collaboration with BasiGo, a Kenyan electric bus manufacturer, will have customers enjoying the first electric bus experience in Kajiado. The 24 electric buses will ply the route of Kitengela, Nairobi, Devki and Greatwall in Athi River with Rembo classic looking forward to improved business due to increased capacity of the electric buses compared to the diesel vehicles. BasiGo proceeds with plans to deliver over 1,000 electric buses in Kenya.
