Kenya has been selected as the country host for the Advancing Vaccine End-to-End Capabilities (AVEC) Project Office, which will support the manufacturing of vaccines locally. Speaking during the signing of a memorandum of understanding with the International Vaccine Institute,(IVI) Health Cabinet Secretary Deborah Barasa said the partnership is a significant step toward strengthening vaccine development and immunization programs, advancing Kenya’s Universal Health Coverage (UHC) agenda and supporting global health efforts.
