Government Secures Extra Funding For Rural Electrification
The government has secured a 12-billion-shilling funding from the African Development Bank, meant to add 100 households to the national power grid.
Speaking in Siaya County for a rural electrification project, Energy And Petroleum Cabinet Secretary Opiyo Wandayi says the county was set to benefit from electricity projects worth KES 1.2 billion, all the while casting blame on parastatals and government agencies tasked with delivering for their laxity in finishing infrastructure within the intended timelines.
