Public Service and Human Capital Development Cabinet Secretary Geoffrey Ruku criticized Nyeri Governor Mutahi Kahiga, saying his utterances went against African cultural values that demand respect for the dead.
Speaking in Evurore, Mbeere North, during an inspection of electrification projects, Ruku called for the governor’s resignation, arguing that such remarks were an affront to the moral and cultural principles that define Kenyan society.
“The governor’s utterances do not reflect the values and aspirations of African culture. You cannot speak ill of a person who has died. It is against our moral and cultural principles. He should resign,” said Ruku
