Wamalwa reveals pre-election pact with Natembeya, accuses him of breaking agreement

Democratic Action Party (DAP-K) leader Eugene Wamalwa has disclosed that he had a political agreement with Trans Nzoia Governor George Natembeya before supporting his 2022 gubernatorial bid. Speaking during a radio interview on Thursday, October 23, 2025, Wamalwa said they had agreed to work together to correct what he termed as “a decade of failed leadership” under former Governor Patrick Simiyu. He said the plan was to give Natembeya 10 years to transform Trans Nzoia and later compare his performance to that of his predecessor.
