The county government of Mombasa has deployed 2500 community health promoters across the county to spearhead the rollout of the Social Health Authority (SHA) at the grassroots level. Speaking during the launch of the mass registration exercise, Mombasa governor Abdulswammad Nassir noted that only 264,000 persons have registered under the new medical insurance. He emphasized the need to onboard more residents to ensure access to affordable and comprehensive healthcare services.
