Wakili Tundu Lissu ameshinda nafasi ya Mwenyekiti kwa kupata Kura 513, sawa na asilimia 51.5, akimshinda aliyekuwa Mwenyekiti wa chama hicho Freeman Mbowe ambaye amepata kura 482, sawa na asilimia 48.3, huku Odero Charlse akipata kura 1 sawa na asilimia 0.1.
Hata hivyo mwenyekiti huyo Mpya Wakili Tundu Lissu amesema uchaguzi ulikuwa huru na kuvitaka vyama vyengine vya upinzani na chama tawala kuiga mfano kutoka kwao.
