Property worth millions of shillings has been destroyed in a fire incident in Thika town, Kiambu County. It took the firefighters from Thika and Ruiru more than three hours to put out the fire that started in a mattress and plastic shop. Their efforts were however hampered by high-voltage power lines near the building. No injuries were reported in the 11 p.m. incident.
