Truphena Muthoni has broken the Guinness world record for the longest time spent hugging a tree. The 21-year-old broke the 24 hours and 21 minutes record held by Abdul Hakim Awal from Ghana today at 6.32 pm. Muthoni says she is not done as she intends to set a new record of 48 hours. Tree hugging is said to reduce stress, improve immunity, and lower blood pressure among other benefits.
