People with disabilities in the North Eastern region have called on the government to include them in decision-making and appointments in upcoming local projects. Chairperson for people with Disabilities in the Northern region Hafid Maalim lamented that there are a lot of challenges faced by PWDs who come from a marginalized area, adding that there would be an ease to accessing various opportunities if their issues had been prioritized. Hafid is now calling for the 5% policy of inclusion to be implemented in the projects laid out by the president in the region.
