Human rights groups in the Country have mounted pressure on the Uganda government to immediately and unconditionally release the Country’s opposition politician Dr Kizza Besigye. The 12 rights groups held a peaceful demonstration in Nairobi before submitting their petition to parliament and the Uganda High Commission on Monday, demanding an end to what they term the legal detention of Besigye.
