Catholic bishops slam political realignments in the country

The Kenya Conference of Catholic Bishops has strongly condemned the wave of political alignments and realignments witnessed in the country ahead of the 2027 general elections, terming it a major distractor to the National Development agenda. Speaking in Mombasa County during the launch of the 2025 Lenten campaign, the bishops further painted a grim picture of the current state of the nation,n condemning the scourge of corruption, unresolved abductions and extrajudicial killings as well as the health sector crisis occasioned by the rushed transition to the Social Health Authority.
