Marakwet landslide Kills 32, including 14 schoolchildren; 15 still missing

The death toll from the landslides in Elgeiyo Marakwet County has now risen to 32 following the discovery of six more bodies on Monday. 4 bodies were retrieved in the Chesongoch area of Marakwet East Constituency, while 2 bodies were retrieved from a separate landslide that struck Kipkenda Village in Keiyo North Constituency. Basic Education Principal Secretary Julius Bitok has also confirmed that fourteen learners are among the confirmed fatalities.
