    The Mandera county government has launched the emergency drought response relief food aid distribution to affected population in the region. While flagging off the consignment, area governor Mohamed Khalif said a total of 235 tonnes of rice and edible oil will be distributed to 15000 vulnerable households county wide.The governor assured Mandera residents that no deserving cases would be left out . He further said the county emergency team from special program and National Drought Management Authority will evaluate the drought risks and release a full report on current situation on Thursday this week.
