The national and county governments have been urged to support women entrepreneurs to be self-sustainable. This clarion call was made during the official launch of a program dubbed Elevate Her in Kakuma, Turkana County, a transformative program designed to uplift women and young girls through entrepreneurship, skills training, and sustainable livelihood.The women empowerment program, which is being undertaken by UN refugee agency UNHCR, HACO and Nemlon Training Institute, aims to turn empowerment into a tangible impact in some of Kenya’s most underserved regions.
