At least two million people are now at risk of hunger as drought tightens its grip on the country’s arid and semi-arid regions. In Marsabit, Samburu, and Isiolo counties, many families are going for days without food, surviving on a little more than hope and half a glass of camel milk. The most affected are children under five years, pregnant women, the elderly, and people with disabilities. Tonight, in Drought Diaries, Ben Chumba reports from Marsabit County, where the crisis could cost lives if urgent intervention is not taken.
