IDP caucus disowns compensation suit

Rifts have emerged within groups representing Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) in Western Kenya after a section of activists moved to court to sue the government over unpaid compensation claims. Western Kenya Caucus IDPs National Coordinator Kennedy Odira criticized the move as unnecessary and warned it could derail ongoing talks with the government. He also urged Interior PS Dr.Raymond Omolloto vet individuals claiming to represent IDPs, insisting that only recognized leaders should handle compensation matters.
