Kenya is banking on collaboration with global accreditation bodies to address barriers to trade and investment. The Kenya Accreditation Services says it has signed various memorandum of understanding with number countries to enhance conformity assessment and align Kenyan accreditation with international standards .KENAS Chief Executive Officer Walter Ongeti says lack of standardised conformity assessment is curtailing trade in Africa, calling on the continent through the African Union to work in unison to unlock Africa's trade potential.
