Elders from the greater Rachuonyo region in Homa Bay County have condemned last week’s politically instigated clashes in Kasipul Constituency that left two people dead. They are now calling on the police and the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) to take swift action on perpetrators ahead of the by-election slated for November 27. Elsewhere, the equitable party TEP leadership has called on competing factions in various by-elections to conduct peaceful campaigns.
