Deputy President Prof. Kithure Kindiki has defended the government's plans to establish an infrastructure fund, saying it is necessary for sustainable development. Speaking in Machakos County, the Deputy President said the government plans to construct 10 thousands kilometres of tarmac road, enhance the electricity capacity and build 50 mega dams, hence the need to raise the funds.
