Parents and guardians of children with hearing impairments in Isiolo county have expressed frustration over non-operationalization of the state-of-the-art Auditory Brainstem Response Machine at Isiolo County Referral Hospital. They say this has forced them to seek costly screening services in Nairobi. The machine that cost approximately two million shillings, remains unused at the hospital facility, for more than three months allegedly due to the absence of an audiologist and the ongoing leadership wrangles.
