DCP fallout sparks battle for Mbeere North seat

Democracy for the Citizens Party DCP has announced that it has withdrawn its candidate in the Mbeere North constituency by-election. Instead, the party will throw its weight behind the democratic party candidate in the election set for November. The decision by the party has already seen an exodus of members from the party in Embu County, as the disgruntled aspirants who were asked to step down protest the party’s decision.
