A Nakuru court has ruled that police interference in the court proceedings into Maina Njenga’s case alongside 11 other co-accused is an impediment to access to justice. Principal Magistrate Kipkurui Kibelion said that blocking the accused from accessing the court premises and the public from following the court proceedings could deny the accused a fair trial. This came after Maina Njenga’s lawyers protested the court proceeding over what they termed as intimidation by the state.
