Inmates in Hindi Prison, Lamu County benefited from an assortment of non-food items from the Court Users Committee from Mpeketoni Court in collaboration with social organizations. The donations include sanitary towels and toiletries among others. Hindi prison administrator Festo Odongo lauded the support stating that it will help the inmates meet their daily needs despite being forgotten by their communities. The chairman of the committee, Senior Resident Magistrate of Mpeketoni Court, Eugene Pascal added that the initiative is aimed at ensuring the inmates have better living conditions.
