Kimalel sub- county hospital in Baringo County which was established to be a referral hospital for kalazaar disease and also meant to serve the people of neighbouring areas of Koriema, Patkawanin and Bekibon, is in a dilapidated state.The facility is basically run down with leaking roofs, no power, poor conditions in theatre rooms and expectant mothers are being forced to carry their own water for delivery. Residents have given Baringo County Government an ultimatum of two weeks to take action.
