A newly released Kenya's health market report 2024 reveals that the healthcare market in Kenya is growing steadily, driven by both public and private partnerships. The report shows that universal health coverage remains a priority for the government to improve access to medical services across the country. Gaps however, still remain, particularly in areas of financing with the sector highly dependent on donor funding and counties still depending on the national level for financing. The report indicates that local manufacturing of health products and technologies is immensely underutilized with only 30 percent of locally manufactured drugs being used.
