Senator Thangwa wants elected leaders term reduced to four years

    A showdown is looming in the senate over two proposals to amend the constitution and change the number of years elected leaders should serve in a term. While the senate is currently considering the amendment bill by Nandi Senator Samson Cherargey that seeks to increase elective term from five years to seven, Kiambu senator Karungo Thangwa now seeks to amend the constitution to reduce the term to four years.
