    Fourteen candidates who were set to sit this years Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) have passed away in a landslide, which claimed a total of 26 lives in Marakwet East, Elgeyo Marakwet County. Meanwhile, several female candidates are sitting the 2025 KCSE examinations in hospitals after giving birth.
