The board of management at the Apegei Special Needs School in Teso South Busia County is appealing to donors to help improve the school's infrastructure, which it says it unable to support the education of the vulnerable children. The school parents' chairperson Laurence Ekasiba says the institution lacks classrooms, dormitories, and clean drinking water. He added that students have been forced to eat their meals under a tree because they lack a dining hall. The school has a population of over 250 special needs students.
