Civil society organizations in Homa Bay County have convened a stakeholders' meeting in Kendu Bay to strategize on increasing women's participation in leadership. Inuka Community Developers Network, Executive Director Lydia Hongo stressed the importance of recognizing women's contributions in the society, noting that leveraging on awareness could encourage more women to step forward as leaders. She added that there is a need for shift societal attitudes toward women in leadership.
