Dagoretti South MP John Kiarie has been elected the new President of the General Assembly of the World Scout Parliamentary Union, a first for the African continent.Kiarie had been serving as the WSPU Kenya Chapter President and Global 1st Vice-President since 2022. The lawmaker said as the first African Global President, he will amplify Scout values in parliaments worldwide, turning the Promise into policies that propel Sustainable Development Goals.
