Dairy farmers report a 70% milk increase after been engaging in more protein production

    Milk production has increased since farmers have been engaged on more protein production in farms with a capacity of 70 percent and can make it to bigger capacity of 400,000 liters per day. Githunguri dairy cooperative society for instance credit the knowledge of experts from New Zealand who helped their extension officers in making milk production, resulting in realization of more produce. Dairy farmers have also credited the output to reduced dependency on commercial feeds by 50 percent in favour of protein fodder.
