Mikakati hiyo inajumuisha kuimarishwa kwa uchunguzi katika viingilio vya humu nchini huku maegesho maalum yakitengwa kwa ndege zinazowasili kutoka nchini Uganda. Wananchi wamehimizwa wawe waangalifu zaidi huku serikali ikishauriana na halmashauri ya kusambaza vifaa vya matibabu hapa nchini-KEMSA ili kununua dawa za kutosha vikiwemo vifaa vya kujikinga katika juhudi za kujiandaa kwa hali yoyote inayoweza kutokea. Kufikia leo, Uganda imethibitisha visa-9 vya maradhi ya Ebola.
