Former Kilome Member of Parliament Harun Mwau Wednesday, took a witness stand over a defamation case he filed 20 years ago against a Kenyan newspaper. During cross-examination,Mwau claimed that an article published by the daily between December 2004 and early 2005 falsely linked him to drug trafficking, damaging his reputation as a distinguished public servant and a prominent businessman. Mwau in the suit is seeking damages amounting to millions of shillings. Details in the Scales of Justice Segment.
